Guidance!
The Lord establishes your steps.
“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” this is a verse from proverbs 16:9 and it is a really great wisdom book that has clear instructions on how to be very wise with the decisions that you make in life. Especially when you’re following The Heavenly Father. It talks about how people will make their plans, but how the Lord is the one who guides you in the path that you should actually go. Guidance is very similar to surrender and obedience, and I have talked about each of these if you are interesting to read about them. When you allow our Lord to guide your footsteps he begins to take you in to places that you would never have been able to get to on your own. And actually I do believe that it’s Yahushua who guide your footsteps because the Lord Yahweh gave him to us, and us to him, and so he is over us. But guidance is so important to our walk with Yahweh because the whole entire world is under the Lord‘s feet. The world is a footstool to The Heavenly Father. And when we are guided by the Lord, everything is under his power, and the world is something that he has created. Now the dysfunction in his world comes from man’s disobedience, but everything is under the Lord’s power. When we go against The Heavenly Fathers will and we do things on our own, that is when we find out that he is still in control. We will end up going where he wants us to go not where we want to go. For a lot of us who are followers in Christ this can be really wonderful, because we love The Heavenly Father. We want him guide us in everything righteous and true and we want to know what he has for us at the end of our walk, or at the beginning, or just enjoying the journey on its own. Guidance actually may seem like as if it is opinionated, or as if it’s not a full requirement. But it’s not a suggestive quality, it actually is the exact same thing as surrendering. With guidance, you have to give up your own desires. You have to give up your own ways in life. You have to look towards The Heavenly Father and seek first the heavenly kingdom, and then all other things will be given to you. When it comes to surrendering and obedience, its very obvious that your will be giving up something when you see those words. But guidance makes you think that you can have is an option, like as if you don’t have to choose to follow the Lord. Like as if you can be with the Lord, and do your own thing at the same time.
Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
